Martins Otse, known as VeryDarkMan, appeared before the National Assembly on Monday, wearing traditional Benin attire, to aid the House of Representatives’ investigation into bribery allegations.
VeryDarkMan had alleged that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) dropped money laundering charges against Idris Okuneye (Bobrisky) after receiving N15 million.
His Instagram voice conversation suggested Bobrisky paid for the charges to be dropped and was held in a VIP facility instead of prison.
The House Committee invited the EFCC Chairman, Comptroller General of the Nigerian Correctional Service, relevant officers, and Bobrisky to provide clarity.
VeryDarkMan attended with his lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, to give testimony.
The investigation seeks to address bribery allegations, Bobrisky’s alleged involvement, and ensure transparency and accountability.
