VeryDarkMan backs Seyi Tinubu for Lagos Governorship in 2027

Social commentator and activist, VeryDarkMan, has publicly expressed his support for the possibility of Seyi Tinubu becoming the Governor of Lagos State in 2027. In a video shared on his Instagram page, he outlined his reasons, analyzing the political dynamics surrounding Seyi Tinubu, son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

According to VeryDarkMan, the idea of Seyi Tinubu running for Lagos governorship seems to be a calculated strategy to gauge public reaction before any formal declaration. He compared this to the approach used by President Tinubu during the 2023 election, describing it as a “testing the waters” tactic.

VeryDarkMan revealed his willingness to campaign for Seyi Tinubu, stating that the younger Tinubu could be instrumental in reshaping Nigerian politics by empowering young leaders. He emphasized that Seyi’s leadership style appears to mirror his father’s, which he described as a “grandmaster” approach—strategically planting allies in positions of influence over time.

“Based on my calculations, Seyi Tinubu is a bridge to something that I believe will make Nigeria work,” he said, highlighting how Seyi’s potential governance could gradually phase out the dominance of older politicians.

Despite his support, VeryDarkMan acknowledged challenges that could hinder Seyi Tinubu’s emergence as governor. He noted resistance from the political establishment, which might view Seyi as a threat due to his father’s legacy and his potential to disrupt the current power structure.

In closing, he maintained that Seyi Tinubu represents a strategic opportunity for young Nigerians to gain a foothold in governance, emphasizing that his analysis stems from personal calculations rather than political partisanship.
