Social media critic Martin Vincent Otse, popularly known as Very Dark Man (VDM), has claimed that Burna Boy has withdrawn the criminal charges in the defamation case against Speed Darlington. In a video shared on social media, VDM also revealed that Speed Darlington will soon be released from police custody.

“Shoutout to Burna Boy for what you did. You’ve earned my respect. Hopefully, Speed Darlington will be out on Monday,” VDM said in the video.

It was previously reported that on November 29, Deji Adeyanju, Speed Darlington’s lawyer, announced that his client had been transferred from Owerri to Abuja following his arrest. Adeyanju also stated that the police apprehended Speed Darlington upon his return to Nigeria for a show and accused Burna Boy of being behind the arrest.
