Vinícius Jr. has been crowned the Best Men’s Player at The Best FIFA Awards 2024, beating out strong competition to claim the prestigious title. The Brazilian star, who plays for Real Madrid, secured 48 points in the voting, ahead of Manchester City’s Rodri (43 points) and teammate Jude Bellingham (37 points).

This victory comes as redemption for Vinícius after missing out on the Ballon d’Or earlier in the season. Unlike the Ballon d’Or, The Best awards are determined by four equally weighted jury groups: national team coaches, captains, a selected journalist from each region, and fans.

Vinícius accepted the award in Qatar, where Real Madrid’s squad is preparing for their Intercontinental Cup match against Pachuca. He was joined by Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti, who was named Best Men’s Coach.

In the women’s category, Aitana Bonmatí retained her title as Best Women’s Player for the second consecutive year.
