The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has shared a harrowing testimony of survival after experiencing an engine failure mid-flight. Speaking at a church service, Wike recounted how prayer and divine intervention saved him and his companions from what could have been a tragic plane crash.

The incident occurred while Wike was en route to Lagos from Port Harcourt. According to his testimony, fifteen minutes after takeoff, a loud boom was heard, prompting the pilot to inform passengers that one of the aircraft’s engines had failed. Faced with the emergency, the pilot made the critical decision to return to Port Harcourt, deeming it safer than continuing to Lagos.

During the tense moments in the air, Wike described how fear gripped everyone onboard, including his companions, Olaka Ogwu and Marcus Leach. In a viral audio clip, Wike’s voice was heard passionately praying, calling on divine intervention with phrases such as “Satan, you are a liar! Father, prove Yourself! Jesus, You are in charge!”
