The Super Eagles have paid tribute to the fans who died while watching Wednesday’s Cup of Nations semi-final match against South Africa.
In a video shared on X, the Super Eagles had a minute silence for the 4 Nigerians who died at home while watching the semifinal and also held prayers.
Captain Ahmed Musa said, “Yesterday we lost four good Nigerians because of the game and hold a minute silence ….they need our support right now and Insha Allah on Sunday we are going to lift that trophy for them”.
Super Eagles observed a minute silence in honour of lives lost in the course of the semi-final match.
