Award-winning Nigerian singer Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, popularly known as Wizkid, has reacted with excitement after his new collaboration with Ayra Starr, titled “Gimme Dat,” soared to number 1 on the Nigeria Apple Music chart in less than 24 hours.

At midnight on April 25th, 2025, Mavin Records star Ayra Starr officially released the vibrant track featuring the Grammy-winning Wizkid.

Adding to the buzz, popular Nigerian dancer Poco Lee caught attention online after flawlessly singing the lyrics of “Gimme Dat” word-for-word while driving, leaving fans amazed at how quickly he mastered the tune.

Confirming its dominance, “Gimme Dat” now leads the Apple Music Nigeria chart, surpassing Davido’s “With You” featuring Omah Lay in second place, and “Laho 11” by Shallipopi and Burna Boy in third.

Reacting to the swift success, Wizkid took to his Instagram Stories, where he reposted a snippet of the song, sharing the celebratory moment with his fans.
