Wunmi Fires Back at Mohbad’s Friend Spending, Denies Allegations and Threats

Wunmi, the wife of late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has responded to allegations made by Mohbad’s friend, Spending, who accused her of lying about the events surrounding Mohbad’s death.

In a lengthy statement, Wunmi denied Spending’s claims, stating that the only argument she had with Mohbad was on their way home from a show because she was upset that he had fought. She emphasized that they never argued in the house.

Wunmi also addressed Spending’s claim that she had fought Mohbad before his death and threatened his career. She denied this, stating that she was not present when the nurse arrived to treat Mohbad and that she had not claimed to have given him first aid.

Wunmi further accused Spending of lying about their interactions, including a claim that she had never cooked for Mohbad. She stated that she had served Spending rice on the Monday before Mohbad’s death.

Wunmi also suggested that Spending was being coached by others to make false statements against her. She claimed that Spending had received money from a TikTok platform to make the allegations.

In a defiant tone, Wunmi stated that she would no longer be bullied and would protect her son, Liam, at all costs. She emphasized that she had gathered confidence and would not allow anyone to take it away from her.

Wunmi concluded by calling on everyone to stop desecrating Mohbad’s legacy, stating that he was a good man and that his son would grow up to read about how he was spoken about.
