Former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello has appeared before the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) High Court in Abuja for a hearing on an alleged N110 billion fraud case filed against him.

Bello, who was declared wanted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) in April 2024, was brought to court on Wednesday morning.

The EFCC had previously struggled to arraign Bello since filing the charges. Initially, the commission filed 19 charges against him, along with his nephews—Ali Bello, Dauda Suliman, and Abdulsalam Hudu—for alleged money laundering offenses amounting to over N80 billion.
