A group of youths in Gombe State have reportedly looted Ramadan palliatives meant for distribution by Seyi Tinubu, the son of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The palliatives were part of his initiative to support the less privileged during the fasting period.

According to reports, Seyi Tinubu has been touring northern states, joining residents and political leaders for Iftar while also launching Ramadan feeding programs to provide essential food items.

However, in Gombe, the distribution reportedly spiraled out of control, leading to chaos as a group of youths allegedly looted the supplies.

While details remain unclear, eyewitnesses claimed that some individuals forcefully took away food items meant for beneficiaries.

The incident has triggered mixed reactions on social media.

“This is unfortunate. People should learn to be patient. These palliatives were meant to help everyone, but greed has taken over,” one user commented.

Another wrote, “If the distribution was properly coordinated, this wouldn’t have happened. Who is really in charge of organizing these events?”

As of now, neither Seyi Tinubu nor Gombe State officials have released an official statement on the looting.
