At the request of President Bola Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima will depart Abuja for a two-day visit to Sweden.
The trip aims to strengthen bilateral relations and explore opportunities for cooperation between Nigeria and Sweden.
During his visit, Shettima will engage in high-level talks with senior Swedish officials, including Crown Princess Victoria and the Swedish Prime Minister. Key areas of discussion will include:
– Information and Communication Technology (ICT)
– Innovation
– Education
– Digitalization
– Sustainable transport
– Mining
– Agriculture
The Vice President will also meet with stakeholders from the public and private sectors, including Norrsken, a Stockholm-based venture capital impact investor.
Norrsken recently launched a $205 million tech investment fund for Africa, and the meeting will focus on how Nigerian entrepreneurs can benefit from this initiative.
Shettima will additionally outline Nigeria’s economic vision and the administration’s efforts to create a business-friendly environment. He will highlight the numerous opportunities available in Africa’s largest economy.
