Tinubu Arrives in Saudi Arabia for Joint Arab-Islamic Summit, Set to Address Israel-Palestine Conflict

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu arrived in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, on Sunday to participate in the Joint Arab-Islamic Summit, scheduled to commence on Monday, November 11, 2024.

The summit, hosted by King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, will center on pressing issues in the Middle East.

In a statement, Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, shared that Tinubu plans to address the Israel-Palestinian conflict, advocating for Nigeria’s call for an immediate ceasefire and a peaceful resolution. He will also promote the revival of the two-state solution to secure lasting peace in the region.

The President is joined by key officials, including Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, Minister of Foreign Affairs; Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, National Security Adviser; Alhaji Mohammed Idris, Minister of Information and National Orientation; and Ambassador Mohammed Mohammed, Director General of the National Intelligence Agency.
