Delta Air Lines Flight Crashes and Overturns at Toronto Airport, 18 Injured

A Delta Air Lines flight from Minneapolis crashed while landing at Toronto Pearson International Airport, overturning and catching fire on the runway. Despite the dramatic accident, all 80 passengers and crew aboard the CRJ900 twin-jet aircraft survived, though 18 people sustained injuries.

The incident occurred on February 17, 2025, as Delta Flight 4819, operated by Endeavor Air, attempted to land amid gusty winds and snowy conditions. Upon impact, the aircraft flipped upside down, causing panic among passengers. Eyewitnesses described the scene as “mass chaos,” with the strong smell of jet fuel filling the cabin.

Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene to evacuate passengers and extinguish the flames. Authorities have launched an investigation into the cause of the crash, with Transport Canada and the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board leading the inquiry.

This accident adds to growing concerns over recent aviation incidents involving commercial aircraft.
