The Abia State Government has made two significant announcements to benefit its workers and enhance the state’s judicial system.

Starting in October, the state will begin paying the new minimum wage to all categories of workers, as decided during the State Executive Council meeting chaired by Governor Alex Otti.

Additionally, the government plans to strengthen the administration of justice by constructing 17 new court halls across the state’s 17 local government areas.

State Commissioner for Information, Okey Kanu, disclosed these developments during a press briefing, highlighting the government’s commitment to workers’ welfare and judicial infrastructure enhancement.
