Nigerian music icons Ayra Starr and Burna Boy commanded a strong presence on the red carpet at the 2025 Met Gala, embracing the theme “Tailored for You,” which aligns with the Costume Institute’s upcoming exhibition, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style”

The annual fashion extravaganza, hosted at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, celebrated Black tailoring and its influence on fashion globally. Burna Boy, renowned for his fearless sense of style, emerged in a burgundy three-piece ensemble, complete with matching leather cape, exuding royal swagger. Ayra Starr, who was a Met Gala first-timer, stunned in a sleek black dress with electric blue lining and stylish sleeve cutouts, exuding chic modernity.
