Nigerian social media influencer Bobrisky (Idris Okuneye) has initiated legal proceedings against fellow influencer VeryDarkMan (Martins Vincent Otse), seeking ₦1 billion in damages.

According to court documents, Bobrisky alleges defamation and reputational damage due to an audio recording allegedly created using Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology, shared by VeryDarkMan.

Bobrisky’s legal team has issued a 24-hour ultimatum to VeryDarkMan, demanding:

1. Retraction of the allegedly defamatory statements

2. A formal apology

The lawsuit seeks to address the purported harm caused to Bobrisky’s reputation. VeryDarkMan has yet to publicly respond to the allegations.

This development highlights the complexities of social media interactions, AI-generated content, and the legal implications of online disputes.
