Idris Olanrewaju Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, is set to be released from prison on Monday after serving a six-month sentence for mutilating naira notes.

In March 2024, Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Federal High Court in Lagos handed down the sentence, stating it would serve as a deterrent to others who abuse the currency.

During the proceedings, the judge inquired about Bobrisky’s gender, to which he responded that he is a man.

The prison term began on March 24, 2024, the date of his arrest.

As Bobrisky’s release approaches, social media users are sharing their thoughts and opinions on his return to society.
