Davido has officially revealed that his fifth studio album, 5ive, is set for release on March 14, 2025. The announcement was made on Saturday through a pre-save link shared across his social media platforms.

The upcoming album marks a major milestone in Davido’s career, following the success of A Better Time (2020) and Timeless (2023). Anticipation has been fueled by the release of two singles in 2024: “Awuke” featuring YG Marley and “Funds,” which incorporates a sample of Brenda Fassie’s 1997 classic “Vuli Ndlela,” blending traditional African influences with modern Afrobeat elements.

In December, the 32-year-old singer described 5ive as a deeply personal project. “The journey continues in 2025 with my new album 5ive. This is straight from the heart — my story, my truth, and my growth,” he shared.

Davido, born David Adeleke, first gained prominence in 2012 with the hit single “Dami Duro” from his debut album Omo Baba Olowo. Over the years, he has released critically acclaimed projects such as A Good Time (2019) and A Better Time (2020).

In addition to his solo success, Davido is the founder of DMW (Davido Music Worldwide), a label established in 2016 that has nurtured several music talents. With numerous accolades and a reputation as one of Africa’s leading artists, Davido continues to push boundaries in the global music industry.
