Dele Farotimi Granted N50m Bail In Defamation Case Filed By Afe Babalola

An Ekiti State Magistrate Court has granted bail to human rights lawyer Dele Farotimi in a defamation case brought by Afe Babalola.

Omoyele Sowore, the 2023 African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, shared the update on his X handle on Monday.

Farotimi was granted bail in the sum of N50 million with a surety of the same amount. The surety is required to provide landed property as collateral. The case has been adjourned to January 29, 2025.
