The wife of retired Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), Hakeem Odumosu, was abducted on Thursday at about 9:55 p.m. by four hooded men suspected to be kidnappers. The incident occurred near her residence in the Arepo area of Ogun State.

Reports indicate that Mrs. Odumosu was attacked while attempting to enter her home. The masked men dragged her from her Lexus jeep and took her through swampy terrain to an unknown location.

Confirming the incident, Ogun State Police spokesperson, Omolola Odutola, stated that the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of the Warewa Division immediately mobilized officers to the scene, and a search operation is underway.

Odutola added that local leaders, including the Baale of Warewa and Maaba, have been engaged to deploy local security forces in the riverine areas as part of efforts to rescue the victim.
