The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has issued Certificates of Return to Ondo State’s Governor-elect, Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa, and his deputy, Dr. Olayide Adelami.

The ceremony, held on Tuesday at the INEC headquarters, was attended by notable figures, including the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, and other members of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC).

Prof. Kunle Ajayi, INEC’s National Commissioner for Ondo State, presented the certificates.

During his speech, Aiyedatiwa, who was accompanied by Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun, expressed gratitude to the people of Ondo for their overwhelming support and for renewing his mandate.

“The mandate you’ve reaffirmed through your strong votes in all 18 LGAs, where we emerged victorious, has placed a great responsibility on me to serve you even better than before,” he said.

Aiyedatiwa also extended his thanks to President Bola Tinubu for ensuring a fair and equitable political environment for all parties.

He commended other stakeholders for their dedication to the electoral process and praised INEC for organizing a free, fair, transparent, and inclusive election.
