The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has reaffirmed that the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) registration will close on March 8, with no plans for an extension.

This was disclosed in a statement issued in Abuja on Tuesday by JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, who emphasized that the deadline remains unchanged.

“The registration period, which began on February 3, 2025, will officially close on March 8, 2025, as previously announced,” Benjamin stated. “This deadline has been widely communicated in all advertisements and the official calendar for the 2025 UTME exercise.”

He urged prospective candidates to complete their registration early and avoid last-minute rush, noting that there has been a recent decline in the number of registrations.

“As of now, over 1.5 million candidates have successfully registered, aligning with our projections for the 2025 examination cycle,” Benjamin added.

JAMB has advised all applicants who are yet to register to do so promptly, as no additional time will be granted beyond the March 8 deadline.
