American rapper Kanye West is being sued by Jonathan Monroe, a former security guard, for allegedly failing to pay wages.

According to legal documents, West hired Monroe in August 2021 to provide security at his Malibu, California home, agreeing to pay $30 per hour. Monroe claims he worked 36-50 hours weekly but never received payment.

After expressing concerns about unpaid wages, Monroe alleges he was fired in October 2021.

The lawsuit seeks compensation for:

– Unpaid wages

– Interest on the owed amount

– Punitive damages

This development follows West’s recent sale of the Malibu mansion for $21 million, initially listed at $53 million.

Monroe’s lawsuit comes three years after his brief employment with West.
