Damilola Esther Adeniyi-Adegeye, daughter of Nigerian music icon King Sunny Ade, has raised alarm over her father’s whereabouts, claiming the 78-year-old legend is “missing.” She accused his manager and stepbrother, Dayo Adegeye, of moving him from one hotel to another and cutting him off from his immediate family.

Damilola alleged that King Sunny Ade is being overworked, medicated to suppress his distress, and financially exploited despite his recent loss of a daughter. According to her, all attempts to reach him have been blocked, and his last phone call with her was abruptly ended when someone took the phone from him.

The concerns first surfaced on April 28, 2025, when media personality @Akanbitheduke shared the family’s frantic efforts to find KSA. Damilola also claimed the manager and his associates were forcing the music legend to perform against his will while denying him access to his home and office.

While a close aide dismissed the story as “fake news,” saying the juju musician was spotted performing in Lagos, no concrete evidence has been provided. Attempts to reach KSA’s radio station manager, Clement Ige, for comments have also been unsuccessful.
