On Monday, the Julius Abure-led Labour Party launched a bold initiative to increase its membership to over 20 million by conducting an online membership registration and revalidation process ahead of the 2027 elections.

Simultaneously, the party unveiled a schedule for its congresses, starting at the ward and state levels, which will run alongside the membership revalidation effort.

This announcement was made in a communiqué issued from Abuja by the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Obiora Ifoh, following the National Executive Council’s virtual meeting on Saturday.

Ifoh explained that the initiative is designed to enhance the party’s presence and strengthen its political influence across the country.
