Nigerian military helicopter crashes in Kaduna

A Nigerian Air Force helicopter reportedly crashed early Monday in Taimi village near Rigachikun, Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The incident occurred close to the Nigerian Air Force Air Training Centre in Mando.

Authorities from the Nigerian Air Force have not yet issued an official statement regarding the crash, but local sources confirmed the news.

In response, personnel from the Nigerian Air Force Air Training Centre and 401 Flying School quickly mobilized to secure the crash site.

Eyewitnesses at the scene said that the pilot emerged from the wreckage unharmed.

“We heard a loud noise and rushed to the scene. We were surprised and relieved to see the pilot alive,” said a local villager who witnessed the crash.
