Nigerian Police Arrest Officers Involved in Lagos Lagoon Chase which Left Man Unconscious

The Nigeria Police Force has arrested its personnel responsible for chasing a resident into the Lagos lagoon. This development comes after @Omorhemi shared a disturbing account and video on X.

The incident occurred at the Federal bus stop, Ipaja Ayobo axis, where police allegedly chased @Omorhemi’s friend’s husband into the canal.

Eyewitnesses reported that the police took the victim’s slippers and money before fleeing.

The victim sustained a head injury from hitting a stone and is currently unconscious at Lasuth hospital. The responsible officers have been identified and detained at Area M of Lagos Command.

@Omorhemi praised eyewitnesses and the DPO for their cooperation in bringing the officers to justice.
