Nigerians React as Former Redeemed Christian Fellowship President Flaunts Gay Partner Abroad

Nigerians have taken to social media to express mixed reactions after a former president of the Redeemed Christian Fellowship (RCF) was seen publicly flaunting his gay partner abroad. The revelation has sparked discussions, especially within the Christian community, given his past leadership role in a religious student fellowship.

The ex-RCF president, who had also served as the Music Director during his undergraduate days, was once a key figure in the campus Christian movement. His recent public display of affection for his partner outside Nigeria has led to debates on faith, sexuality, and personal freedom.

Some Nigerians have condemned his actions, citing the conservative stance of most religious organizations in the country. Others, however, have defended his right to love whomever he chooses, arguing that personal life choices should not be judged based on past religious roles.

He also pointed out an omission in his CV regarding his time at the Redeemed Christian Fellowship (RCF) at Olabisi Onabanjo University (OOU). “You forgot to add that I was the Organizing Secretary of the fellowship in 200L,” he noted, reflecting on his involvement in the fellowship.
