Nile Cinemas has entered a landmark management agreement with the Ooni of Ife to operate Ojaja Cinemas.

The partnership aims to establish 1,000 screens across Nigeria within five years, starting with locations in Ile-Ife, Akure, and Lagos.

The agreement was officially signed on October 29, 2024, in a ceremony attended by the Ooni and his wife, Olori Ronke Ademiluyi Ogunwusi.

The OJAJA Film and Talent city, commissioned by former Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola on October 17, 2024, will serve as a hub for this initiative.

According to the Ooni, the primary objective is to create employment opportunities for Nigerian youths. With the expertise of Moses Babatope, CEO of Nile Group, this partnership is poised to transform the country’s entertainment landscape.

Nile Cinemas is also expanding its footprint by integrating THC Cinemax Ogba and Royal Roots Ikota into its chain. By December 2024, Nile Cinema Chain is expected to become the fifth-largest cinema chain in West Africa, with four operational locations.
