The Western Nigeria Security Network, Amotekun Corps, in Ondo State, has reported significant successes in its security operations. Within one week, the corps foiled five kidnap attempts and rescued nine victims.

State Commander Adetunji Adeleye disclosed this while parading 20 suspected criminals, including kidnappers, cultists, and thieves, in Akure. He attributed the successes to the Amotekun Rangers’ proactive efforts in combing forests and flashpoints.

A notable arrest was that of 28-year-old Usman Abubakar, who confessed to collecting N2 million from a victim. Adeleye reassured the public that Amotekun would continue to ensure commuters’ safety and safeguard lives and properties.

The corps’ efforts have bolstered confidence in the state’s security apparatus, with Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s support being instrumental in their success.
