President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Jamiu Abiola as Senior Special Assistant to the President on Linguistics and Foreign Matters.

Prior to this appointment, Abiola served as the Special Assistant to the President on Special Duties in the Office of the Vice President.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by Segun Imohiosen, Director of Information and Public Relations in the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, it was confirmed that the appointment takes effect from November 14, 2024. The statement further noted that the appointment complies with the Certain Political and Judicial Office Holders (Salaries and Allowances, etc.) Act of 2008, as amended.

Imohiosen added, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of Jamiu Abiola as the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Linguistics and Foreign Matters, effective from 14th November 2024. In this new role, the President has tasked Abiola to collaborate closely with the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs and utilize his expertise in carrying out his duties.”
