US President Joe Biden Thanks Nigerian President Bola Tinubu for Release of Detained Binance Executive

In a 30-minute call, President Joe Biden expressed gratitude to Nigerian President Bola Tinubu for the release of Tigran Gambaryan, a Binance executive who was detained in Nigeria for eight months.

Foreign Affairs Minister Yusuf Tuggar briefed the press on the call, stating that President Biden appreciated President Tinubu’s partnership and Nigeria’s collaboration in securing Gambaryan’s freedom.

Gambaryan’s family confirmed his release, describing his detention as “unlawful.” His return home marks a significant development in US-Nigeria relations, highlighting the importance of diplomatic cooperation.

The call underscores the commitment of both leaders to future collaboration, demonstrating the value of bilateral relations in resolving complex international issues.
