Organizers of Ballon d’or to Introduce New Rules

France Football, the organizers of the Ballon d’Or, has introduced a new twist to the awards ceremony. The winner will no longer be informed or interviewed before the event.

This year’s recipient will learn of their victory only when the envelope is opened live on stage on October 28.

Real Madrid’s Vinicius Junior is among the top contenders, alongside Kylian Mbappe, Jude Bellingham, and Rodri, following his outstanding performance in Los Blancos’ LaLiga and Champions League wins.

According to Mario Cortegana of The Athletic, this change aims to preserve the surprise and authenticity of the winner’s reaction, creating a more thrilling experience for all involved.
